Learn the history of Japanese calligraphy, the meaning of the tools, and how your name will be written in kanji. Fuki introduces the philosophy of ink and brush in English.
Starting with basic strokes, you work up to writing your own name in kanji. Fuki guides every movement. The imperfections are part of the beauty.
Fuki explains the meaning of your kanji name, stamps the artwork with her seal, and presents it to you. Yours to take home — a piece of Japan, made by your own hand.
Brush, sumi ink, washi paper, and a traditional felt mat. Nothing to bring — everything is ready.
Fuki prepares the perfect kanji for your name in advance. She explains the meaning during the ceremony.
Your finished piece on quality washi paper, sealed with Fuki's personal hanko stamp.
The entire session is conducted in English. No Japanese required.
Traditional Japanese green tea and sweets served during the session.
We pause to capture your artwork and the experience — perfect for sharing.
